HELP, Car WILL NOT start on first try. . .??

Just yesterday i started experiencing an odd problem. My car WILL NOT turnover on the first try. . .

On the second try it starts up, or does with a little hesitation/stuttering.

Any ideas? I'm at a 1/4 tank so i don't think it's bad gas. I have an afe intake but i've had it for 2000miles now and no problems so far?

What could it be??

Could the very weak battery in my Key have anything to do with it?? Or would the car not be able to start period?

I'm having exactly the same problem. Dealer replaced the oxygen sensor but the problem still persists. Dealer has no clue either....

Is your car stock, any modifications?

I had the same problem a week after buying the car. Turns out one of the keys had not been used in some time. The car's ignition system would not recognize it and would not start. The dealer re-initialized the key with the car and all is well now.

I had the same problem until very recently. It always started on the 2nd attempt, so I didn't bother with it. Then I had the rod bearing recall done and they reflashed the ECU with the latest software. No problems so far.

Not start as in nothing would happen. . . or the starter would work, the car just wouldn't turnover?

I have the same problem with mine. It only happens once in a while. I took it to the dealer and they said that in most cases it is software issue. My car already has the latest software and still does it. Dealer was stumped on this one. Try taking it to the dealer and ask if you can have the ecu flashed with the latest software.

So you just deal? You start it once. . nothing. . then again and it starts?

The car would not start as in no starter turn over, no clicking, no nothin'. But all the electricals worked perfectly. Lights, radio etc. It was as if the starter had been removed from the car. The dealer said it was a lock out feature that even if someone copied your key or lost it long ago, the car would reject it.
