We are insane...
did you know that from 1500 to 1750 100,000 people were burned at the stake in Germany alone for being a witch! This doesn't count the 100,000's tortured and burned for heresy...this is enormous considering how much smaller the population was...toss into the mix the Crusades and boy is the basis of our civilization suspect...

I'm not saying my heritage (which would ultimately carry down the line to american slaves) has not had their share of atrocities (rowanda, for example); but rather, that it sounded as if you were generalizing everyone on this forum as sharing your civilization. But on terms that these mentioned people who became the founders of the US can't be such a great thing, I agree entirely.
