Default Some GOOD Things about moving to LA...

Hey Guys,

Havent been on for a while so i thought i'd post an update...

Well, Been out here in SoCal for almost 3mos. and so far the traffic , congestion and rude people have been the pits.

HOWEVER....

Everything all cancels out considering the Weather The Endless amount of oh....so....hot......girls THE PERFORMANCE (coming from Denver) and the fact that plates for the M were only 168 bucks!

Speaking as someone who lived in LA and actually left (I know, who is that dumb??), it's a great place to live. Once you accept the pollution, traffic, and high cost of living as a consequence of living in one of the best cities in the world, you'll never look back.

Forecast today in LA (and 330 days out of the year as I recall): "A balmy breeze of 70 degrees, not a cloud in the sky."

I love LA.

I just moved to L.A. too about a month ago and I'm about half a mile from the Beverly Center. I came from CT where we have nothing shittay weather, so to be out here is unbelievable. Constant beautiful weather is amazing.

Where are you in West Hollywood? If you see a SG/Grey w/ comp. package M3, that's me.

Default I hate LA

I, for one, hate LA. Too congested, too much smog, too much concrete, rude people...

I won't say that it doesn't have it's benefits (warm waves, nice beaches, babes, weather), but I really can't stand it there.

My ex was always pushing me to move down to LA. She came from there (Palos Verdes, Seal Beach), and wanted to move back. It was always a sore subject...

Just my opinion...

Nice to have you here! You MUST get your M3 out to the canyons: Mullholland/Stunt Road in Topanga, Angeles Crest up north of Burbank, and the twisties East of O.C. Not to mention PCH and the monthly trips to Willow Springs Raceway. There are some of the world's best roads out here, just a few minutes from the congested streets.

Also, check out the meet at Crystal Cove in the Pacific Regions sections of this forum.

Welcome!

greg

I used to think the people here were rude...but you won't after a while once you become one....

L.A. rocks, it isn't the best or the only nice place to live, but it has a good broad mix of stuff, not to mention your're a few miles from the porn capital of the world(Chatsworth) and if you need more Las Vegas isn't that far away.

The traffic is a trade off for the mild weather.

Above is a good link to some of the better canyon roads in the area north of you. I live out in this area, if you want to head out this way just drop me a PM and we'll get some guys together and go run around.

Just northwest of LA and southern Ventura county is great. Perfect weather, much cleaner air, less congestion, great canyon roads. My brother in law was hesitant moving from Mission Viejo to Lake Sherwood but now thinks it was the best decision he ever made. I'm writing this from Dallas - you couldn't pay me enough to live here - can't wait to get out of this hot humid mess.

Would you guys please shut up about how nice it is out here. It's already too crowded as it is.
