Default balanced or unbalanced

the signal from a stock headunit on an e46m3, is it delivered as a balanced or unbalanced signal.

i got an audiocontrol dqx and thier are jumpers in the unit for unbalanced/balanced....

any advice...

its on balanced jumper setting - as default from audiocontrol...

btw, i ran the headunit output wires and soudered RCA tips to them. it sounds great...(audio controls advice)
basically bypassing a high/low converter, which was inducing noise into the system...

just want to know, does the m3 come with balanced or unbalanced outputs.

Try the balanced input.
The head unit in the E46 M3 (business class cd player) is not exactly balanced or unbalanced. It is a differential output +/- 6 volts.

Good luck with it. The approach you are taking is an excellant one!
