Default Cylindar Misfire + EVAP large leak detected

This morning my car was running extremely rough. Sure enough, the Check Engine came on. I got two codes - Cylindar #5 misfire and large EVAP.

Are these related? It certainly seems to have a misfire. Is it safe to drive it to the garage (5 miles)?

Thanks

I had misfire in 5th and 6th cylinders and still have not pinpointed the prob...the stealership said valves and wanted $5100-$6000 so I hauled the M off. I am having a compresion test done hopefully today and I'll check with Turner Motor Sports(TMS) with the numbers. They are going to be doing the work on my M3. I was just driving around 60MPH in 3rd and lost all power. TMS wants me to see if I did not drop a vavle. Im leaning towards bent valves. TMS priced it around $1500-$2000 to rplace the valves. I would tell you also to do the same. When you press the gas does your car shutoff, when you shut the car off do you hear air come out of the engine, and does your car sound louder and more like a WRX? thats what mine was doing.

I think I just had a failed ignition coil. I got #5 ignition coil as another code after I drove it to the repair shop (and it was quite rough).

Turns out it was a bad ignition coil. Still not sure why the EVAP warning came on but I didn't ask.

The EVAP came on because I wasn't burning the gas with the misfired cylindar. That went away with the other codes. The thing threw more signals than Jason Varitek.

The EVAP valve is in the trunk underneath the spare. Just vacumn out the valve and replace. I hit a few dirt roads and have to do this all the time to clear the code. (need a torx driver).
