Default JTD underpanel is clunking...

I've been getting a clunking noise as of late which I thought was coming from my UUC SwayBarbarians. While crawling under the car looking for the culprit, I hit my shoulder on the underside of my JTD underpanel and that recreated that dreaded noise which has been driving me nuts for weeks.

Unfortunately, there's no way to prevent the noise from reoccurring as far as I can tell as all the fasteners are in. Where it's hitting, I think--but can't tell for sure due to lack of clearance to look--is where the wind deflector contacts the underside of the radiator housing.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Has anyone heard of this problem with the JTD underpanel? Needless to say, I'm disappointed and would like to cure this annoying clunking noise once and for all.
