Default maintenance schedule???

where can i find a maintenance schedule. some reference to see at what mileage things need to be done. the dealer says, no such thing. i mean, when do people normally do their brakes? oil changes? inspections? my warranty is running out and if i need to start riding my brakes so i can get it done before it expires then i will. i have maintenance for 10K more miles, and im not paying a grand to do the brakes after it expires. any advice??
