You need the metal bracket to mount a plate on. the plastic strip on your bumper is like 12 bucks when you decide you don't want a front plate.

personally i think putting on the front plate is a crime.

A front plate is required in the state of Washington, do you think I ever had one? HELL NO.

Thankfully they aren't required in AZ, but hey I'm not going to have my car much longer so what do I care.

I just went thru all that same crap, got a $78 ticket. I tied wrap the plate to the mesh and the Chippie send me away and said go put that plate on correctly and told me to remove the tint on my windows. he was a a------.

purchased the metal frame for $29 and the plastic piece for $25. You have to drill the holes on the old plastic piece, so I now carry that set up in my trunk for a quick 2 minute install.

I went to the DMV to get sign off.
