have you tried talking to the dealer that you have the deposit with and seeing if they'll match the price you were quoted?

Ask the dealer who is going to undercut the dealer you put the deposit down with what to do... if he wants the deal, he'll give you the answers about your 1000...

depends. did you order the car in fern green or rotted-egg yellow? If you ordered the car in a very weird color, if I was the dealership I would just keep your deposit. But, if you ordered a color like black or silver, yeah sure, they'd give you the $$ back.

I ordered a silver 2006 M3 a few months back (before deciding against it and got the porsche), the new M3 was already built and in the middle of the atlantic when I cancelled it. The dealership gave me my full deposit back, no questions asked. But, before he did, he mumbled to himself "... let me check, what color did you get that in...".

Just FYI.

It depends. If you signed a sales contract, then it may be difficult to back out. It all depends on what kind of clauses for early termination are specified on the document. Check with your dealer, but be prepared to stick with what you ordered.

i got it in carbon black.

basically this is what happened. I went to about 10 different dealers and this was the lowest price i got, then one of the dealers called me and asked me if im still in the market, i told them that this is the lowest price ive gotten can you beat it. (mind u i lied by 20 dollars a month) she told me yes.. so... now im in the position that i am in.

just tell your original dealer that you decided not to get the M3 afterall. tell them that they can refund you the deposit asap.
